Bob Sandlin State Park

Bob Sandlin State Park
Pittsburg, TX
March 2012

This is a good size state park located on a large 9000 acre lake.   The park has about 80 RV spots and twenty cabins.   We didn't camp here overnight but did spend the afternoon exploring the park.   It has a huge parking lot for all of the boat trailers.   It wasn't very busy but there were several fisherman cleaning some good size fish at the fish cleaning station.

The campsites were pretty good.   Level pads with shade, pretty good sized with some privacy.   There were four loops.

We give it a 8 out of 10.

Pros
Big Lake
Lots of spots
Not very busy
Spots were big, level, shady and private

 Cons
Highway crossing the lake just down the lake (could hear the cars).
