Lake Tawakoni State Park
Wills Point, Texas
March 2012
This state park is located 50 miles east of Dallas and is on the 36,700 acre Lake Tawakoni. This lake is good for boating activities and we did see a few fishing boats out in the lake. The lake was down about ten feet.
We were in a nice site in the White Deer loop. The site was a decent size and the pad was in really good shape. There were not too many campers while we were there and the weather was a little soggy. But I could see this place as being really busy during the summer months.
The swim area was pretty big and had lots of parking. There was a small bait shop there next to the wildlife area.
We give this park a 7.5 out of 10.
